Day 1: ###KM-##KM Into the Far North

Ivalo to Northern Inari area

Your Arctic adventure begins in Ivalo, deep within Finnish Lapland. After gearing up and a safety briefing, you’ll set out north through the Inari wilderness, following ancient reindeer trails and frozen lakes.
The day’s ride immerses you in true Arctic solitude — endless snowfields and forests under a vast winter sky. Spend the night at Sevettijärvi Baari or Sanila’s Reindeer Farm, where a warm meal and authentic Sámi hospitality await.

Reaching the Borderlands 

Northern Inari region to Nuorgam/Utsjoki área, the border with Norway​

After breakfast, continue your journey through the pristine northern Inari region, heading toward Utsjoki and Nuorgam, Finland’s northernmost villages on the border with Norway.
This is pure Arctic wilderness: vast white plains, frozen rivers, and distant fells. Along the way, stop for an outdoor lunch by the trail before settling into your cosy cabins in Utsjoki or Nuorgam.
If the sky is clear, step outside. This far north, the Northern Lights blaze brighter than almost anywhere on Earth.

Touching the Edge of the World

Nuorgam/Utsjoki to the Deep Fjords of the Arctic Ocean and back​

Today, ride across the border into Norway’s deep Arctic fjords , where mountains plunge into the icy sea. This is the northernmost snowmobile route in the European Union and the highlight of your expedition.
You’ll stand at the Arctic Ocean, breathing in its crisp salt air, surrounded by silence and snow. After a scenic lunch stop, return to your lodge for a well-earned dinner and a final night under the auroras.

Journey Southward

Ivalo to Northern Inari area

After breakfast, it’s time to turn south and retrace your path through the wild northern wilderness back to Ivalo. The final stretch gives you one last chance to enjoy the freedom of the open snow and reflect on the incredible landscapes you’ve crossed from frozen forests to the edge of the Arctic Ocean.
