This is the ultimate Arctic snowmobile expedition. A 5-day, cross-border journey from the wilds of Ivalo, Finland, to Mehamn, Norway, the northernmost fishing village on the European mainland.
Ride across frozen lakes, reindeer trails, and snow-covered tundra as you trace the path of ancient Sámi routes, reaching the Arctic Ocean itself. End each day in cosy wilderness lodges, enjoying hearty meals and the quiet magic of the Northern Lights.

Into the True North
Start the Adventure!
Ivalo to Northern Inari area
Your Arctic odyssey begins in Ivalo, where you’ll meet your local guides and prepare for the adventure ahead. After gearing up, set out north through the Inari wilderness, following pristine trails surrounded by endless snow and silence.
Your first night brings warmth and comfort in a remote lodge, where the group gathers for a welcome dinner and a briefing on the days to come.
Day 2, ###-###km
The Borderlands of the Arctic
Northern Inari to Nuorgam/Utsjoki área, the border with Norway.
After breakfast, continue deeper into the northernmost reaches of Finland, making your way to Nuorgam and Utsjoki, the country’s northern border with Norway.
This is where the adventure becomes truly remote, endless white plains, frozen rivers, and towering fells. Enjoy an outdoor lunch along the trail, and arrive in Utsjoki or Nuorgam for a warm evening in your cabin, surrounded by some of the clearest Northern Lights skies in Lapland.
Day 3, xxx-xxkm
Reaching the Arctic Ocean
Nuorgam/Utsjoki to Mehamn.
Today, you’ll cross the border into Norway and follow winding trails toward Mehamn, a small fishing village on the Arctic Ocean.
The landscape changes dramatically, from Lapland’s forests to Norway’s rugged fjords and coastal cliffs.
Your reward: an unforgettable Arctic Camp experience by the ocean and a King Crab feast, celebrating your arrival at the edge of the world. Spend the night in cosy coastal accommodations with the sea at your doorstep.
Day 4, ###-###km
Return Across the Wilderness
Mehamn to Nuorgam/Utsjoki
After breakfast, mount your snowmobile and ride back east through the pristine snowfields of Norway and Finland.
Trace your path through open tundra and river valleys, stopping for lunch along the trail. The return route offers new perspectives on the vast northern wilderness before another relaxing evening in Utsjoki or Nuorgam.
Day 5, ##-##km
Farewell to the Arctic
Nuorgam/Utsjoki to Ivalo
On your last day, ride through the peaceful Lapland landscape as you make your way back to Ivalo.
Enjoy the final kilometers of Arctic wilderness before returning your gear and celebrating the completion of your Arctic Ocean Adventure – Mehamn Edition, a journey few have ever taken.
Optional: Extra Night in Mehamn
Price: €700 per person (includes accommodation, activities, and meals).
Stay one more night on the Arctic coast for a King Crab fishing trip or a sea fishing expedition, available during select seasons.
